Design Engineer

In this role you'll be able to wear both UI Designer and Frontend Engineer hats!

We all work remote, but would like to have all the Design Engineering team based in New York City. We will probably rent a small office space at some point, where we could meet for meetings and social events.

— What we do

At DCT, we're creating the next generation of art and design platform bridging live events with online commerce. We slated to softly launch later this year.

— Who are we

We're a small and humble team of art lovers, engineers, designers, product managers and live events specialists.

We've built big and small things before. From e-commerce platforms, to the most popular OS system (!), to important art fairs.

We've met each other in previous jobs and created strong relationship. We trust each other.

This new project is ambitious, but we also want enjoy working with each other and feel comfortable.

We're growing and looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

— The role

As Design Engineer, you will be able to flex your muscles both in design and code.

Depending on project, you could start by wireframing your ideas in Figma, discuss it with the team, then prototype it in Storybook, finally integrate it in our Next.js app, add some Cypress test and push live code to production!

Our Design Engineers are very fluid, part UX and UI designer, part frontend engineer.

This will give you the opportunity to craft your designs as you please, with animations, breakpoints and other details.
